Nippon Paint NP747 Waterproof Polymer Coating

Nippon Paint NP747 Waterproof Polymer Coating

Nippon Paint NP747 Waterproof Polymer Coating is a two-component waterproof product for middle layers. Its formula consists of environmentally friendly, water-based modified waterproof polymers, providing excellent waterproofing and water resistance, suitable for environments with long-term water immersion. The product exhibits strong adhesion to substrates and facilitates easy tile application. After mixing, the formulation appears blue, clearly indicating the applied areas during construction and preventing failures in the waterproof layer due to missed applications.

Features

• Excellent waterproofing, providing dual-sided protection on both the exposed and reverse sides to address various leakage scenarios.
• Strong adhesion, tightly bonding with the substrate for more secure tile placement.
• Colored coating to prevent failures in the waterproof layer due to missed applications.
• Good workability, suitable for rolling or brushing applications.
• Water-based, safe and environmentally friendly.

    Usage Instructions:
    [Substrate Preparation]
    • Substrate Inspection: Before construction, ensure that the substrate is solid, free of oil stains and other loose materials, and that the surface dust is thoroughly cleaned. Visible holes and cracks should be repaired using a mortar mix first. For loose substrates, remove the loose materials before proceeding with repairs and leveling.
    • Moisten the Substrate: Fully moisten the substrate with clean water, and allow it to dry until there is no obvious residual moisture before starting the application.

    [Mixing]
    • Pour the liquid (component A) into a clean container, then add the powder (component B). It is recommended to mix the liquid and powder in a ratio of 1:3.3 (by weight) and stir thoroughly for approximately 3 minutes until no lumps remain and a uniform paste is achieved (the use of an electric mixer is recommended). Let the mixture sit for 3 minutes before use. The mixed mortar should be used within 1 hour.

    [Waterproof Application]
    • Waterproofing requires two or more layers, and the next layer should be applied only after the previous one has completely dried. The application can be done using a cross-covering method, with an interval of about 2-6 hours. The temperature, humidity, and ventilation conditions at the construction site will directly affect the drying time of the waterproof layer.
    • The thickness of each layer should be controlled between 0.5 mm and 1.0 mm, with a total waterproof thickness of at least 1.5 mm. Apply evenly, avoiding excessive thickness in a single application.
    • If a water tightness test is required, it should be conducted only after the coating has completely dried (approximately 2-3 days at 23°C and 50% humidity; longer drying times are needed in low-temperature and high-humidity environments).
    • For pools with long-term immersion, it is recommended to wait for two weeks after curing before use.
