Nippon Paint NP Crystal Shield Waterproof Coating

Nippon Paint NP Crystal Shield Waterproof Coating

Nippon Paint NP Crystal Shield Waterproof Coating consists primarily of an innovative modified acrylic emulsion combined with various additives to create a transparent waterproof coating. It has excellent adhesion, good film-forming properties, and sealing capabilities. This product can be directly applied to tiles, cement mortar, and various types of paints, effectively reducing the risk of water infiltration while providing reliable waterproofing performance.

Application Areas:
• Ideal for leak protection on surfaces such as concrete, paint, tiles, and metal panels on building exteriors or roofs.
• Repairs minor leaks (less than 0.5mm) in interior areas like window edges, windowsills, door frames, and terraces.
• Repairing water seepage in kitchen or bathroom tiles.

Features

• Modified acrylic that is resistant to surface whitening while maintaining its transparency.
• Powerful water resistance, effectively resolves a range of water seepage problems.
• High weather resistance and UV-resistant, not easily yellowed or chalked.
• Excellent crack resistance, against fine cracks from substrate deformation, ensuring durability.
• Strong adhesion, a strong bond with various substrate materials.
• Ready to use, good workability, can be applied by rolling or brushing.
• Water-based, safety and environmentally friendly.

    Usage Instructions:
    [Substrate Preparation]
    • Substrate Inspection: Before application, ensure that the substrate is solid, free of oil stains and other loose materials.
    • Level the substrate: Ensure the substrate is smooth.
    • Dry surface: The substrate must be dry and free of visible moisture before application.

    [Waterproofing Application]
    • Ready for use. No dilution is necessary.
    • Waterproofing requires three or more layers, and the next layer should be applied only after the previous one has completely dried. The interval time is approximately 2 - 3 hours. Temperature, humidity, and ventilation at the construction site will directly influence the drying time of the waterproof layer.
    • For corners, window frames and door frames, it is recommended to use brushing to ensure complete surface coverage and to apply multiple coats.
    • The thickness of each layer should be controlled between 0.3 mm and 0.5 mm. Apply evenly, avoiding excessive thickness in a single application.

    [Application in Different Scenarios]
    • Crack Repair: The first coat should be applied along the direction of the crack.
    • Window and Door Frame: The first coat should be applied along the joint between different materials intersect.
    • Vertical Surface Application: For substrates with low water absorption, the number of coats should be increased to ensure the thickness of the waterproof layer.
