Nippon Paint NSI 258 Gypsum Thick Layer Soundproof Skim Coat is made from premium hemihydrate gypsum and eco-friendly additives. Designed for thick plastering and leveling of interior dry area walls and ceilings, it efficiently solves substrate unevenness and is ideal for large-area levelling need. The product offers high strength, excellent adhesion, easy application, and resistance to cracking. It also provides outstanding soundproofing, with tests confirming a reduction of 29 decibels*, greatly enhancing indoor comfort.     Coverage: Covers up to 0.80–0.91 kg/mm/m² (Coat consumption varies according to the surface condition of application)

    Application Procedures:
    1. Mixing: Slowly add powder into water and mix until smooth and lump-free (adjust based on the construction environment and required workability). Let the mixture stand for 3–5 minutes before application. The recommended ratio is "Powder: Water = 1.5–2.2 : 1".
    2. Application: According to the flatness of the substrate, apply the well-mixed NSI 258 Skim Coat in 1–2 layers. Each layer should be 3–20mm thick, and the thickness of a single layer should not exceed 20mm. Apply the next coat after the previous coat has dried.
    3. Subsequent Application: After the surface is dry, you can apply Nippon Paint NSI 288 Interior Simply Essential Skim Coat to further enhance the smoothness and refinement of the wall surface, and to provide a better result for subsequent coating applications.
